Helena brings over 20 years of national, regional and global experience in marine conservation, ocean governance, and sustainable finance. She played a key role in the development and adoption of the Seychelles Marine Spatial Plan to achieve the 30% marine protection goal, and was directly involved in the finalisation of the debt for adaptation swap and operationalisation of SeyCCAT. With a strong background in governance, institutional development and conservation finance, Helena has worked extensively with government, civil society, and international partners to align environmental priorities with sustainable funding mechanisms. As CEO, Helena focuses on strengthening SeyCCAT’s strategic impact, enhancing transparent and effective grant-making, and ensuring the Trust continues to support Seychelles’ biodiversity, climate resilience and sustainable development goals.

Jean Preira is a finance and governance professional with over 30 years of experience in the financial services sector in Seychelles. Throughout her career, she has held several senior leadership positions, including Chief Executive Officer, Head of Finance, Assistant Accountant, and Loans Officer. Her expertise includes financial management, investment, strategic planning, budgeting, treasury operations, corporate governance, risk management, and organisational development. Jean is pleased to join SeyCCAT as the Finance and Investment Manager and looks forward to bringing her extensive experience, knowledge, and strategic perspective to the organisation. She is committed to supporting SeyCCAT's mission by strengthening financial management, enhancing investment oversight, and contributing to the organisation's long-term success through collaboration, innovation, and sound governance. Jean Holds a Master of science in Financial Service Management and a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).

Finance and Investment Manager

Joanna is an environmental project manager with 20 years’ experience in the Seychelles’ public and private sectors. She leads the SeyCCAT Blue Grants Fund, directing grant processes from appraisal to disbursement and ensuring donor compliance for Government and community led marine and coastal conservation. Her prior roles include management of GOS‑GEF‑UNDP programmes, Ridge to Reef, Outer Islands and Indian Ocean ISLANDS, where she guided strategic planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation and multi stakeholder coordination. Joanna has contributed to national and regional advisory and steering committees, and offers strong capabilities in risk mitigation, schedule and financial oversight, adaptive management, and stakeholder engagement, backed by extensive networks across government, NGOs and local communities.

Blue Grants Fund Coordinator

Annike is the Coastal Wetlands and Climate Change Project Manager for SeyCCAT. She will manage and coordinate project activities and the day-to-day project implementation and overall coordination of the various project outcomes under SeyCCAT's portfolio. Annike has substantial experience in environmental project management. Fresh from university, she started work as a Project Manager for the Programme Coordination Unit and later for the United Nations Development Programme. Annike holds a Master's in Environmental Management for Business from Cranfield University, United Kingdom and a BSc in Geography and Environment from the University of Seychelles.

Thembekile Manjengwa is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the progress of SeyCCAT's projects in relation to the organisation's goal and mission. She is a Development Expert with extensive experience in Monitoring and Evaluation and Project Management. She has more than 12 years of career experience in development programming in the fields of Agriculture, Natural Resources Management and Sustainable livelihoods. Thembie is a Certified Development Project Manager with a BSc in Natural Resources Management and Agriculture and a Masters in Development Management.

Diana has worked in the Government of Seychelles for 13 years in the social and environmental sector. She also has an extensive background in gender and population issues, social research, social impact assessment and project management. Diana has had the opportunity to work on different projects funded by both the Government of Seychelles and International organisations, including the African Development Bank, The Darwin Initiatives, the Commonwealth, SADC, European Bank, European Investment Bank and others. Diana holds a Master's degree in Leadership & Strategy.

Daniella Farabeau joined SeyCCAT as the Accounts and Administrative officer. Daniella has more than fifteen years of experience in accounting, auditing and taxation. She has had the opportunity to work with the Seychelles Revenue Commission, Chartered accountant companies and the Bureau de Change and also reporting experiences with institutions such as the Central Bank and Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).

Adrian is responsible for coordinating project activities, i.e., overseeing consultancies, developing work plans, managing budgets, and supporting the monitoring and evaluation of project outcomes. Working with the Ministry of Finance, Adrian has gained substantial project management experience and contributed to significant projects, including the SADC Trade Facilitation Programme. He holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration and a Master of Science in International Cooperation Policy.
