SeyCCAT is seeking to recruit a Communications and Public Relations Officer.
The Seychelles Conservation and Climate Adaptation Trust (“SeyCCAT”) was legally established via legislation on November 19, 2015. SeyCCAT is charged with administering its assets, intended to provide a sustainable flow of funds to support the long-term management and expansion of the Seychelles system of marine protected areas and other activities that contribute substantially to the conservation, protection and maintenance of biodiversity and the adaptation to the climate change. SeyCCAT performs exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes for the benefit of the people of Seychelles.
Position Objective: The Communications and Public Relations Officer has the overall responsibility to ensure the consistency and visibility of SeyCCAT in its efforts to conserve Seychelles’ natural environment and mitigate the impacts of climate change. The Officer will work closely with SeyCCAT’s leadership, staff, donors, and grantees (Blue Grants Fund and others) to effectively communicate the organization’s mission, activities, and impact to various stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3 years proven experience in communications, public relations, or marketing, with a strong portfolio of past work.
Duration: This is a full-time position with an initial contract duration of [12 months], renewable based on performance and organizational needs.
Remuneration: Remuneration will depend on qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
